This week we read the story What the Ladybird Heard. The children really enjoyed the story especially pretending to be the robbers trying to steal the cow.

The children worked together in the construction area to create a fantastic structure. They discussed where to put the different blocks and using maths skills worked out what piece to place where. They added animals and vehicles to their finished structure. 
They were very proud of it. 

3S had a stunning start to our new science unit all to do with rocks! We went on a rock hunt and then sketched and labelled our rocks with our scientific vocabulary!

This week I’m RE we have been learning about the Epiphany. We enjoyed finding out how the star guided the wise men to Jesus. We made telescopes to help us search for our own stars. On Wednesday we took a trip to church. The children were filled with awe and enjoyed looking at the crib.

We had lots of fun in our last week with special visitors, parties, Christmas lunch and loads more fun.

Year 4 had a yummy afternoon analysing what types of pizza’s are out there in the shops.  We evaluated their taste, aroma, texture and appearance then completed a sensory evaluation stating which was our favourite and why.  Roll on making our own pizza…

Year 2 were extremely well behaved when our special visitor arrived after our party. They asked great questions and we learnt that Father Christmas likes Italian food!

We had great fun playing party games at our Christmas Party this week.
